Your local guide will pick you up in Runavík and take you to Vágar Island (40 min drive). Today your private guide will take you on a wonderful journey to Vágar Island. You will get to see breathtaking sightseeing spots such as Trælanípa, Múlafossur and Trøllkonufingur. You will also visit the idyllic villages of Bøur and Gásadalur.
We will start our day by going on a guided hike to Trælanípa Cliff, which is also known as the Slave Cliff. This is an easy hike and normally takes about 2 hours in total. We may take a short detour and experience the beautiful Bøsdalafossur Waterfall nearby.
After our fresh hike, we will go to Bøur village, where we will make a stop for a Faroese lunch at a private establishment. Bøur has a stunning view of Tindhólmur Islet, and is a wonderful place to go for a stroll, as it is home to a traditional Faroese church, beach and charming grass-roofed cottages. After lunch, we will go on a breathtaking sailing tour, we you will get to see dramatic sea stacks, birdlife, cliffs and Múlafossur Waterfall. After our boat tour, we will make a stop in Gásadalur Village, which offers a scenic stroll along the headland with a view of Mykines Island. Gásadalur is also known for being a great place to spot puffins.
We will then drive to the outskirts of Tórshavn for tonight's dining experience. (1-hour drive). You will enjoy dinner with a 9th-generation farm couple. They will serve a 5-course meal from Faroese produce from their own farm along with suitable beverages. You will gain a unique insight into Faroese "home hospitality"-culture whilst enjoying spectacular views of Koltur and Hestfjørður.
