On the way to the Refshaleøen district, you will take a panoramic tour of Copenhagen with some photo stops at the famous landmarks. Then you will drive to the former Refshaleøen shipyards, see the creative district and walk around. In recent years, the former industrial district has become one of Copenhagen's hottest areas and a centre for creativity, alternative urban development, festivals and good food of all kinds. The easily accessible island is an integral part of the city, but has an identity all its own. Explore the island and soak up its atmosphere.

In Refshaleøen there are places that offer you different cool experiences. What they all have in common, however, is the deep Refshaleøen DNA: creativity, fun and entrepreneurship. One of those places is Copenhagen Suborbitals, the world's only crewed amateur space program. The startup is based in Denmark and has supporters all over the world. From 2011 to the present, the local space team has developed and launched six rockets and capsules from their floating launch site in the Baltic Sea.

During the tour, you'll see up close how space exploration has turned into a hobby- and vice versa - through a community of passionate artists and engineers. You'll witness the art of rocketry being created right before your eyes as our volunteers work on actual projects. Meanwhile, we will talk about how it's possible to build rockets on extremely low budgets. You'll see how they work, with hands-on explanations using our own built engines, boosters, capsules, and hardware. Finally, you will experience the feeling of sitting in a space capsule and waiting for the moment to be launched into space.

Afterwards, sample the iconic Danish beer Mikkeller at Baghaven Brewery. Baghaven houses twelve large oak barrels ranging from 3000 to 7000 liters and over fifty 225-liter barrels of California Chardonnay. These oak barrels are used to store beers where wild yeasts and bacteria transform the liquid into products with incredible depth and complexity. In addition to barrel aging, our in-house microbiology lab allows us to maintain our yeast and bacteria cultures and isolate new strains from the air, fruit peels and various other sources. This is especially true in the summer, when the beautiful waterfront tasting room provides the perfect place to enjoy a beer in the sun.
