Discover the traditions, landscapes, and everyday rhythms of the Faroe Islands on an intimate experience centred around local farming, authentic stories, and Faroese wool culture.

Travel to Torkilsheyggjsgarður, a working farm located between Runavík and Toftir. Here, learn about the Faroese sheep that have shaped island life for centuries and still far outnumber the local population. Hear stories about traditional farming, the importance of sheep to Faroese culture, and the close connection between the people and the land.

Enjoy a selection of local tastes before setting out on a gentle walk through the surrounding countryside. The experience continues near Lake Toftavatn, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the Faroe Islands, where you can relax with coffee or tea and homemade cake in a peaceful natural setting.

The final stop is Navia, a Faroese wool shop owned by the farmer. Discover how locally sourced wool is transformed into warm, practical, and beautifully crafted products, and enjoy time to browse the collection.

With personal encounters, local flavors, scenic surroundings, and an unhurried pace, this tour offers a warm and authentic introduction to Faroese life before returning to Runavík.
