DAY 1 – Arrival. Welcome to Azerbaijan! Baku night view tour.

Arrive into Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport, meet and greet and transfer to your hotel. Check-in after 15:00 for 3 nights. Meal plan: breakfasts included at the hotel, 2 lunches and 3 dinners.

In the evening, after dinner at the hotel, you will participate in Baku night tour: Flame Towers, Alley of Martyrs, observation platform with panoramic view of evening Baku, a walk along the seafront, return to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 2 - Ateshgah Temple & Gala State Historical Ethnographic Reserve & City Tour of Baku

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Ateshgah Fire Temple in Surakhani village.

Visit the Gala State Historical Ethnographic Reserve. This open-air museum contains numerous buildings modeled after those from the 10th century.

Drive to the State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve “Yanardag” (literary “Burning Mountain”). One of the hills within the reserve sits atop a natural gas well and features a constantly burning wall of flames.

Afterwards, you will have lunch of Azerbaijani cuisine. After enjoying the local specialties, you will return to your hotel in Baku to have some free time before your Baku City Tour: the historic old town, Maiden's Tower, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Philharmonic Park.

Dinner follows at the Shirvanshah Museum Restaurant and a hands-on cooking class where you will sample gutab. Gutab, considered the national dish, consists of flatbread fried on a griddle and stuffed with various ingredients.

DAY 3 - Gobustan & MUD Volcanoes & Shopping Tour in Baku City

After breakfast at the hotel, head to the Gobustan State Historical and Cultural Reserve. UNESCO has declared it a World Heritage Site for its thousands of ancient rock engravings, some of which are 40,000 years old. The reserve is also home to numerous caves and cone-shaped mud volcanoes, which are formed when a muddy slurry erupts from the earth's surface.

Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants. On the way back to Baku, for contrast, see the Heydar Aliyev Center, a stunning example of 21st century fluid architecture.

After pausing to take photos at the "I Love Baku" sign, continue on your way to Yashil Bazaar, the largest bazaar in Baku, to discover goods such as Caspian caviar, seasonal fruits, freshly ground spices and other items from the region.
