The Douro Valley, with its photogenic and world famous, is not only a masterpiece of nature, but also the result of the effort and energy expended by man in its transformation. Its landscapes are truly breath-taking and that is why, since 2001, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During its eight kilometres, we have the possibility to travel along scenic rural and agricultural paths, embroidered by the walls of the farms and its famous vineyards, and to walk along the fascinating banks of the Douro River. The views over the terraces and the Douro Valley are really breath-taking, whatever the season. The tour begin at the east towards the Douro region. This region produces consistent olive oils, with dark colours and intense aromas. The olive trees of the Douro region are an integral part of the Douro landscape, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With our energies up we take a guided visit to the place where we get to know all the traditional vilification process of Port Wine and Muscatel wine followed by an olive oil tasting and a traditional Douro lunch.
