Your day begins with a guided walk in the Kotor Old Town to learn about history, culture and lifestyle of local people. You will view the exterior of the Gate, Main Square, Clock Tower, Family Palace, St. Luka Church and visit St. Tryphon Cathedral. A part of local culture is so called ‘kola fjaka’ which means to slow down, and take it easy in life, to stop and enjoy every little bit whether it storms or is a sunny funny day, alone or with friends and family.
People of Kotor, and Montenegrins in general, are famous for their warmhearted readiness to dedicate themselves to other people. It was a norm in every house. Today, people from Kotor show the same hospitality and after a walking tour you are kindly invited to a terrace of a local restaurant to relax a bit and enjoy a piece of home-made cake with a cup of coffee or tea.
Proceed with a panoramic drive to Budva to visit the old town surrounded with medieval walls. The old town is a unique architectural and urban entity, surrounded by medieval ramparts, with a fortress, towers and gates. Along the narrow streets, small markets and squares, there are cafes, boutiques, bars, restaurants and galleries. During the summer months, thanks to performances, concerts and exhibitions, the Old Town truly becomes the City Theater. Today you will enjoy a private folk music performance at the terrace of one of the local restaurants to immerse in the cultural heritage. Once, there was this custom to offer a visitor liquor in a bićerin (from italian bicchierino – the tiniest container you can imagine for serving alcohol to guests). Upon arrival you will be welcomed with a bićerin of a local liquor just following centuries old traditions.
Continue along the coastline to the observation platform that provides a great photo opportunity of Sveti Stefan and the whole Budva Riviera. After the photo stop your air-conditioned vehicle goes down to Blanche Restaurant located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a special place with seaview. Your full day experience concludes with a panoramic drive back to Kotor cruise terminal.
