Idyllic Iceland: Overland Pre- or Post-cruise Program

DAY 1 – Arrival. Welcome to Iceland!

Arrival at Keflavík airport. Group guided or private transfer to a 4-star hotel (check-in after 15:00 for 3 nights, breakfasts included). Relax time at the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 2 – Private Golden Circle Day Tour & Kerið Crater & Geothermal Bakery

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for a full day tour to see the highlights of Iceland:

• Þingvellir National Park, an attraction of great historical, geological, and cultural significance.
• The magnificent 32 meters high Gullfoss waterfalls lie in the Hvitá river and are fed by Langjökull, Iceland’s second largest glacier.
• Geysir Geothermal area located in the Haukadalur valley, the scenic home of the famous Geysir hot spring Strokkur, a geyser that erupts every 6-10 minutes.
• Kerið crater, a volcanic crater lake, one of the most visually stunning geological wonders in the country. The caldera is approximately 55 m deep, 170 m wide, and 270 m across, and is made up of a unique red volcanic rock.
• Geothermal Bakery, something that attracts tourists and is very special and very rear in the World that bread is baked in warm ground in Geothermal spring area for 24 hours. The guests are offered to taste the freshly baked bread together with Icelandic butter and either herring or trout.

DAY 3 – Private South Iceland, Waterfalls and Black Sand Beach tour

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for a full day tour to see South Iceland. Enjoy astonishing views as we drive along Iceland’s famous Ring Road, flanked by rugged mountains, glittering glaciers, and towering volcanoes:

• Watch out for Eyjafjallajökull, where an enormous eruption stopped the world’s air traffic in 2010! We do not make a stop, just pass it by and it is never guaranteed that you could see it due to weather conditions.
• You will also experience the powerful beauty of Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
• Close by stands Skógafoss, one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland often featured in Hollywood movies!
• Your next treat will be a memorable stroll on one of the finest beaches in the world! Reynisfjara beach has won accolades from National Geographic and TripAdvisor, and you’ll soon see why!

DAY 4 – Perlan Observation Deck + Lava Show + transfer to the cruise port. Ship embarkation.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and board your bus. You will be driven to Perlan to enjoy the observation deck with 360* view of Reykjavik and even onto the next peninsula when weather allows.

Today you will feel the heat during a unique Lava show. Lava show is the only live lava show in the world, a highly engaging experience that has received multiple awards on entertainment and innovation. Show recreates a volcanic eruption by superheating real lava and pouring it into a showroom full of people. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get up close to real molten lava, see it flowing, hear it sizzling, and feel the incredible heat that emanates from it.

Upon arrival to the cruise port embark your ship and be ready for your next adventures.

Note: in case of a Post-cruise Program you will be met at a cruise terminal after cruise  disembarkation at DAY 1. You will visit Perlan Observation Deck + Lava Show and will be transfered to the hotel. At DAY 4 you will have breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel before 12:00 and will be transferred to Keflavík airport for your departure flight home.
