Local Ulvik guide, authentic hiking route & yammy tasting at Syse Gard.

After disembarking your ship, meet your guide and board your coach. You will drive from Eidfjord towards Ulvik listening to the guide's stories about the Hardangerfjord, the Hardanger bridge and much more...

Upon arrival to Ulvik hike up to the surrounding mountains awaits for you.

Walk through the small village center out into the terrain. A pleasant hike along the farms and pasture landscapes, starting with a nice little waterfall. Guide will tell you about farming culture, history of farming life and a bit of nature during the hike. It is high time to enjoy great views of the fjord and mountains, and «close to nature» moments and probably meet some animals grazing on the way (the Blue (easy) route will be followed).

Your hike ends at Syse Gard. Syse Gard is a farm awarded by the West Norwegian Economic Museum, specializing in fruit growing and fruit processing. The hosts are Gro and Hans, who are the fifth generation to run the farm. You will have a tour of the farm including the barn and smokehouse and taste local products: 2 kinds of apple juice and 3 kinds of cider. Cured meat: salted, smoked and dried leg of lamb with flatbread (local bread), salami with cheese and dried apple. All products are made on the farm, except the cheese and crispbread.

Here your outing comes to an end and you will return back to your ship.

Please note: all bookings are subject to additional confirmation upon request. Once we receive your order, we will check availability and contact you if it is confirmed.
